SANTASTIC!WEAR Spring/Summer 2010 Collection Press Release

Santa Inoue, the designer and founder of Japanese street fashion brand SANTASTIC!WEAR, is the most influential cartoonist in Asia. The cartoon called the TOKYO TRIBE 2 has won the highest awards in Asian and US animation industries.

 

The SANTASTIC!WEAR 2010 Spring/Summer collection shows a strong street and hip-hop style. The new collection features a whole range of styles and bright colors perfect for a fresh summer look. There is also a special edition custom-made line which is a multicultural design collaboration between SANTASTIC!WEAR and iconic American label NEW ERA.

Santa Inoue’s Comic Series for Milk

Santa Inoue, the designer and founder of Japanese street fashion label SANTASTIC!WEAR, fully presented his artistic talents as well as innovative branding design in a special edition comic series for street fashion magazine Milk. His comics have attracted many fans in China and Hong Kong, strongly influencing comic trends in the region.

At the same time, Milk interviewed Santa Inoue releasing an 8-page feature, which introduced people to his world of street fashion. Readers can not only read his comic series but also some street fashion related topics.

This cooperation between Milk and Inoue Santa has become one of the hot topics in China.1

Japanese Street Fashion Brand SANTASTIC!WEAR held “Trends Holy Night” Together with you-style.cn.

you-style.cn, a trends website only created for young people, held “Trends Holy Night” Together with Japanese Fashion Brand SANTASTIC!WEAR at a famous live house in Beijing on May 19th, 2009. The website is launched at the same day. Many honored guests are gathered in the event spot, Li Quan and Peng Tan, pop singers; Zhang Yang, a director; Future Bicycle, the rock band and Brain Failure, the punk band; Liu Yuqi, a famous model; Huang Haibo, a famous actor, etc. Great supports are provided for this event by Japanese Fashion Brand SANTASTIC!WEAR. The street fashion elements of the brand turn the spot into a solid trends space, in which people are totally entered into the spirit of spot and enjoy the interests brought by trends.

Andy, a famous host of Hit FM88.7 announced the opening of event. A random drawing brings the activities to the climax after a wonderful performance acted by singers and bands. Yan Yiliu, in charge of the operation of you-style,cn and Xu Yixin, CEO of  Beijing Sheng Cheng Tai Culture & Meida Co., Ltd introduced the original intention of establishing website and the development goal of you-style.cn. They celebrated the formal launch of the website together with Nicole Chen, Chairman & CEO of NC.STYLE, Zhan Yang, a director, and the Brain Failure, a band. The spot atmosphere reached to the climax again thanks to the amazing performance of Brain Failure. The event was successfully concluded.

2008 August 3 SANTASTIC!WEAR INOUE SANTA’s Signature Party

Japanese cartoonist SANTA, founder of the brand SANTASITC!WEAR, had his first meeting with Edison Chen . Mr.SANTA has spoken with Chen before, but the two had never met. He invited Chen to his studio in Tokyo. Chen said that he liked SANTA’s comics as well as SANTASTIC!WEAR very much. They also shared their own opinions about other trend brands and the trend culture.

SANTASTIC!WEAR made its official China debut on April 26, 2008 at Source, the premier streetwear select shop in Shanghai. In July of 2007 NC.STYLE was appointed the China brand image director of SANTASTIC!WEAR, a streetfashion brand from the popular Japanese comics artist Santa. With the popular comic style of Santa’s “Tokyo Tribe” collections, SANTASTIC!WEAR’s colorful style presents itself as an streetwear brand to watch out for.

Under NC.STYLE’s director Nicole Chen’s invitation, popular Japanese comic artist Santa visits Beijing, China for a five-day tour and media interviews.
